What can't a no-tile-removal repair fix?
We built our business on fixing leaks without removing tiles, so we'll be the first to tell you where that approach stops working.
What it does
It works on the tiled surface. Failed grout and sealant come out and are replaced, movement joints are resealed and a penetrating sealer on the grout helps stop water getting through. Where water gets in through the joints and the tiles are sound, that fixes the leak without demolition.
What it doesn't do
- Replace or repair the original membrane under the tiles
- Fix plumbing: pipes, tap bodies, wastes or connections
- Correct falls or rebuild drainage
- Stop structural movement or repair a cracked slab
- Treat areas outside the quoted scope
When it isn't the right repair
It isn't right when tiles are loose across a large area, the bed is saturated, the floor falls the wrong way, the drainage can't cope or the membrane has clearly failed. Then you need a strip-out, drainage work, a trafficable membrane or another trade.
Why the inspection matters
The same stain can come from very different causes. That's why we inspect before we quote, and why the inspection is free.
Reading the quote
A good quote states the area treated, the method, what's excluded and which warranty applies. If any of that is missing, ask.
Every property is different. This guide is general information, not a diagnosis of your leak. Book a free inspection for advice on yours.
Leaking shower or balcony?
We'll inspect it and quote for free, anywhere in Sydney. If the tiles are sound, we can usually stop the leak without lifting them. The sealing product we use carries a manufacturer's product warranty of up to 25 years, under the manufacturer's terms.
